Kelly was born and raised in South Carolina. After graduating from Clemson University, Kelly completed a master's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami. Kelly's goal was to work for television channels from the time she was a kid. Kelly found the job of a TV producer as well as editor thrilling and glamorous. After finishing her studies, Kelly became a part of ACC Digital Network as a production assistant. She also worked as an intern. When her studies ended, she joined at ACC Digital Network as a production assistant, as well as an intern. After that, she began working at Fox Sports Sun.
