The place she was born is Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California. John Aniston is her father and Nancy Dow, mother. As a young girl, she was raised among actors. Her godfather was actor Telly Savalas. They were a great acquaintance of Jennifer's father. Her father's acting career took her across the United States. The couple divorced after she moved to New York. She was then left with her mother. In the age of six, she began attending classes at Rudolf Steiner School, a Waldorf educational institution that applies the theories from Rudolf Steiner. Aniston is a painter who excelled at it. Her artwork was showcased in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Aniston was inspired to take up acting when she saw the Broadway stage production of children of a Lesser God. In the age of fifteen she was admitted into the New York High School for Actors. The restaurant she worked in was a Manhattan hamburger joint called The Jackson Hole when she completed her education.
