She's reported on sports at some of the most prestigious publications around the world. The time she worked as a reporter at The Washington Post was spent with several Olympics, Grand Slam Tennis as well as basketball and football. Nichols began a nine year stint at ESPN in which she won the two Emmy Awards, and featured on many of ESPN's top shows like NFL Countdown and SportsCenter. Also, she was an anchor for Monday Night Football on the network. Then she moved on to CNN and Turner Sports. Unguarded: Rachel Nichols hosted her own show on CNN International. It boasted more than a billion viewers around the world. Nichols also worked on behalf of TNT for NBA broadcasts during the playoffs, as well as the broadcasts of the All-Star games. She has also worked for TBS reporting as an anchor covering golf and baseball broadcasts. CBS broadcasted the Final Four. This is only the second nomination for the award for a female from the more than 200 nominees candidates.
