Her parents were Susan Duff & Robert Erhard Duff. The Duffs' sister Haylie Duff, is their youngest sibling. Hilary was spurred by her sibling to go on a trip in the Cecchetti Ballet as a young girl. The young actress began her acting career after realizing that ballet was her passion. Her first professional acting performance came in the year 1998 with Casper Meets Wendy. Her leading role in Wendy was her first of many. Her first big role, one we loved while growing up, was Duff in the role of Lizzie McGuire in the Lizzie McGuire movie series.
