Simone discovered her love for gymnastics at the age of six on an excursion to the day care center Bannon's Gymnastix and was there for eleven years under the direction of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles won the floor and vault exercises at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before going to the high-level competitions in 2011. She dominated her sport within a mere two years. What set Biles apart was her consistency with her bright personality, as well as the intense level of effort she included in her workout routines for the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars, balance beam and the floor workout.
