Cassie Scerbo is an American actor singer and dancer who was first in the spotlight after she was picked for the all-girl pop-band 'Slumber Party Girls' which aired the popular children's show Dance Revolution on CBS in the late 2000s. She later became known for her acting in the direct-to video film Bring It On: In It to win It as well as the ABC Family drama, Make It or Break It. Her most well-known role is portraying Nova Clarke, the main protagonist in the four movies that comprise the Sharknado phenomenon. Scerbo is a lover of sports, fitness and is an avid philanthropist. She did, however, leave school in 2010, and then go into the Slade School of Fine Art University College London. She began creating music at a young age. Beginning in 2008, she started sharing tracks from her album on her MySpace profile. An illegal basement rave promoter was drawn to her music. She was able to go by the screen name Charli XCX. She began to go to raves. Soon she was able to have local hits, and followed it by releasing the singles Franchesckaar! Emelline and Art Bitch and!Franchesckaar' as the next two singles she released. Asylum Records was her first record label in 2010. Alex Metric sang the vocals for the song End of the World released in the year 2011. True Romance, the debut studio recording of hers was released in April of 2013. It received a favourable review from reviewers. The album sold 1,241 units in its first week and reached the 85th position on the U.K. albums chart. Charli immediately started work on her next album. In just a couple of months she appeared on the Australian rapper Iggy Azalea's smash hit Fancy. The track reached #1 in the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. In December of 2014, her debut album Sucker was released and it was a worldwide hit. Sucker was ranked at 28 on the Billboard 200 in the United States. It also received favorable reviews. Break the Rules is an enormous hit which charted throughout the world. She revealed in July of 2015 that she is developing her third album.
